In 1996 Peter Gläßer designed the biggest Wooden Music Box of Erzgebirge (Erzmountain) with a diameter of 4.9 yards (4,5 meter). The Music Box figures include a Nutcracker, Smoking Man, Santa Clause with his sleigh, the Olbernhauer Rider (Horseman) and a Railway. The figures are 70.2 inches (180 cm) each. Approximately 60 square yards (50 quadrate meter) of plywood and about 0.99 cubic yards (0,75 cubic meter) of spruce wood was necessary to built the entire Music Box. Two transmissions feed the Music Box. Guiness Book of World Records 1997!
In 1995 Peter Gläßer designed the tallest working Smoking Man in the world. The "Night Watchman" is 96.72 inches (248 cm) high, with a diameter of 23.79 inches (61 cm). The base measures 105.69 inches (271 cm). Approximately 17.66 cubic feet (0,5 cubic meter) of spruce wood was necessary to craft the figure. The figure was ordered by the Berlin Mall "Kaufhof". Guiness Book of World Records 1996!
