The material used is natural raw spruce wood, which is always the main component of the folk art from Erzgebirge (Erzmountain). The spruce is carefully dried to meet necessary quality requirements. The spruce wood parts will be glued together. Larger parts are hollow and are glued together, this is called "geboettchert". The larger parts are hollow so they are light weight and can easily be carried. After the figures are glued they are turned on our specialized turning-lathe. Each piece reflects the heart and soul of the artist. Every turned part of the figures is produced with 100% fine quality craftsmanship created by the artist.
The "A" and "B" of each figure is the paint finish, because each figure should be an eye catcher. The paint finish then requires a very high quality varnish, which allows the wood to breath and maintain it's natural properties while also being UV and water resistant. Therefore, the figures are suitable to be placed outside.
